Introduction to SEO

If you've heard of SEO before, then you just need to know that backlinks from other sites that lead to your page increase your site's ranking. A better ranking, in turn, leads to a higher traffic flow due to greater recognition by search engines. If, on the other hand, you don't know SEO, you just need to know that the more backlinks point to your site, the greater the value that search engines will attribute to you. Put simply, the more backlinks you have, the more traffic to your site potentially will be.

To determine the value of a Backlink we have two parameters to evaluate:

  • Source quality: The more the site that points to your web page is of quality for the search engines, the higher the value of the link itself;
  • Relevance: If the external site deals with topics similar to yours, the search engine will classify it as relevant, or also connected in terms of content, and will acquire value.

Put simply, you don't need to have thousands of links if the sources aren't valid. Search engines notice this, and in the end they are worth much more from a single link from reliable sources than a thousand from a single scarce source. This is why knowing how to get effective Backlinks is so important for an SEO strategy.
